I have not been able to find any suppliers of potassium chlorate / perchlorate and that means I am stuck with good old potassium nitrate . The thing is, i am getting bored with just golden and white stars and I was wondering if there are any more colourful star compositions that I can make with Kno3. I know a supplier of barium, strontium and sodium chloride.

Not very easily. This post should tell you why.

However, I have produced a passable lilac/pink colour using KNO3 as an oxidiser and colour imparter. I don?t remember the formula, but it was basically a BP mix bound with shellac.

A good yellow can be produced with sodium nitrate (which is cheap and easily available). See this post for a description.

PS, the three chlorides you mentioned are rarely used, I believe mostly due to problems with hydroscopicity and chloride/chlorate incomptability.
