The camera can't record sounds extremly well, and i can assure you it was not confined in any way.

I'll try it in a star gun and see how far it will shoot the star out

In my opinion this stuff would of course work for lift! Even my CIA-method blackpowder with bbq charcoal works without too much confinement. :D

Then, willow bp will work. And as you stated, it?s pulverone. If you rice it wettened through a screen this stuff is great for a gently but powerfull lift.

Thats a really huge difference when using BBC charcoal. ballmilled and riced bp with it won?t even lift the shell to 20 metres.

But when I milled the charcoal/sulfur together for a few hours and made CIA blackpowder with it, it gives (for bbq charcoal) impressive lifts.

I have a video of a 65mm dayshell lifted by 15g of that stuff. If i remember correctly, i posted it in the spherical shells thread before....

EDIT: Ah i found it. http://www.kkpaul.rp...hell_cutted.mpg

The 15g bp was in a thin cup pasted to the shell with one layer of standard tape. There was 1-2mm space around the shell in the mortar. (Just for explanation)

Ok guys here it is.

(Right click and save as)
http://www.infernola...ver.nTTstar.MOV

Lift was 0.5grams of willow pulverone.
Star was Beech Tiger tail star.

Comments: Should've used less lift. There was a massive bang, the star was broken into several pieces.
Sorry for the bad video, i only got to film the lift (was standing to close) and it all heppened so fast that i couldn't react.

Will do better next time

That?s the answer to your question before.

It IS very suitable for lift. For 3" I would start with 15g of that stuff. But I wouldn?t advise you to use pulverone as lift :)

Hi all,

Has anyone ever compared BP made with Kno3 from a lab supplier, and Kno3 from Garden Direct. I may have to start using garden direct as the lab supplier i usually order from seems to have stopped supplying the public.

Hey everyone. I discovered GardenDirect recently, and have been tempted to order some of their KNO3. How much did you guys order? The price per kilo is far lower if you buy the 25kg sack, but wouldent this arouse suspicion?

I find it amusing that delivery is only ?3.50 for a 25kg package!

Hi m8! Long time since you posted on here!
Anyway, I know quite a few people on here have ordered 25kg bags! They dont ask any questions, and I doubt there would be much suspicion! Probably just a few laughs! :D

Well i've used up my Garden Chemicals stuff, so i thought i'd give Garden Direct a shot. I've ordered 25K of Kno3, and 5K sulphur powder. Should keep me going for a bit!!!
Too obvious??

Is their sulphur any good? cant beat their prices anyway

I'll let you know how i get on....

edit:
i thought i'd share this place with you guys.
On a different subject - ematches. Ive got a spool of nicrome from here
http://www.mutr.co.u...aspx?prodID=575
and i'm very happy. good price for such a small amount. should last a while...

i have always used the sulphur chips not the powder. i read on here that they are much better and i trust all the guys here. i made some interesting sulphur-less BP the other day because i had no sulphur. it looked like the it would make a good star. i used willow charcoal (like always!)

Okay guys ? enough. A quick search on any of those companies reveals that the same questions were answered many times. Please avoid duplications and do a bit of search. Some for those questions were answered with very detailed information ? and the new posts really contribute nothing new.
