For 50 meters of high quality perchlorate based Chinese Visco green fuse I pay around ?4.00.

For ICI PIC I pay around ?1.00 per metre and around ?120 per reel.

You do not need a licence to purchase fuse products in the UK. Needless to say it helps a great deal if you are involved with the fireworks trade in some shape or form.

As Richard said - Professional Display operators get that sort of prices. Needless to say - if you are a member of the public that fancy some - you will find it a bit problematic to get someone to sell it to you, but if you do find someone that sells it, the price probably will be 100% to 200% higher. Still - very cheap.

Fine. If you think that the market in question in big enough to be maintain business for anyone - you are more then welcome to take it on. I think you will very quickly that you will need years to return investment - and that is only if you take this as a second business. As a first business you will go bankrupt within a 3 month.

This is not only to do with fuse. Fireworks in general do not hold great money. Only the best and the biggest earn big time. The rest are just making a living.
