i just came across this site http://www.stanchem....mason_work.html , they seem to stock some realy interesting looking Ferro alloys and alu alloys like "Aluminium Strontium Titanium Boron Alloys" etc, i have contacted them to see if they will sell to individuals. looks interesting though

*Edit* Ididnt get a relpy from them so i assume they wont ship to to individuals a real shame i would have loved to see the effects of some of those alloys, i guess ill have to make my own forge

Im just checking if anyone knows of its purity?

Ive been previously using the sulphur candles contents ballmilled but the chips and the powder is much cheaper?

Any assistance will be apriciated for their respective %ages.

just found a site called "garden chemicals" and the price they are charging for "garden chemicals" is ridiculous!

AND just to make it funnier every single 1 of the chemicals they sell are of use to our group

Stop using the sulphur candles dude, get the chips; there the most pure. Second is the powder; i've made BP with both and the chips are definatly better. Plus the powder is a bit acidic so watch what your mixing it with.

Btw, you could keep searching you know, I get really pure sulphur for £4 per kilo.

Just ordered 0.5kg fine Al powder and 1.5kg Sulphur powder @ 99.6%, delivered for £26.

Doesnt seem too bad for lab grade?

I now see why I was told the same thing when I asked for the quick answer. If you search these forums and read you'll find the answer. I'll give you a hint though, I get my chems from another country in the EU.

If Drew says he gets his chemicals cheap from another country then surely the prices are low!

Which just leads to me being more depressed because Its a bit hard to explain to customs a GOOD reason for having pyro chemicals in the post to you.

Another possible low cost sulpher powder can be obtained from your local agricultural merchant

Mine costs £6.50 for a 2.5kg Tub

Very finely milled

Its primary use if for dusting cattle hoofs and is of quite a high purity

All of the BP made with this sulpher has been of a good quality ( Hot & Fast )

And before anybody goes off on one.!! I did aquire a MSDS, Direct from the manufacturer before using this stuff

I know of a couple of members who didnt receive their chems from Ketan, myself included, my loss was relatively small tho, so i didnt pursue it.

Got loads of emails, until he got the money, then nothing. I emailed him many times, then i just gave up.

If you order from this guy you are taking a chance. It seems he is generally unreliable. Some people will get their stuff, others wont. Strange way to run a business!

Also, from what ive gathered, he sends chems, which are prohibited, thru the normal post, (altho im sure most of us have done that )

Regarding paypal, at the moment, you only get payment protection, if you are dealing with people in USA, Canada, or UK. This is what i was told by paypal.

Before i do i will ask for his address, so if it doesnt come i will pay him a visit. I booked up my holiday to Poland yesterday. Funny enough I'm going to Wroclaw where I think he is based.
