Okay, I am now an extreemly happy pyro!
Oh how long I have dreamed of not having to afraid of a CATO, or trying a new idea, or having to limit myself to only a few stars in a starmine ::drools::
Richard, and idea of where abouts this pyro heaven would be? Anything, or for that matter, anyone, anywhere near Bournemouth/ Dorset?
Also, my sincere apologies for the sidetracking...

Regards,

Mike

My bad Richard, I'll learn to UTFSE in the future...
Is there any chance you could be more specific about the location though?

Mike

Have to buy in bulk, even with the high shipping cost i could easily resell it and make my money back and more

Hello,

I have found a seller who owns an eBay chemical store, and was wondering if a $26 is exactly considered a good price for one micron aluminum dust / 400 grams?

Thanks.

eBay sellers typical don't know the micron or mesh size of their powders when smaller size. I had one selling Indian Blackhead and claimed it was 2 microns and 8000 mesh. Turned out he didn't actually knew it, he just bought it from someone who had ball milled it from 14 micron to "approx. 2-4 microns."
Is it flake or spherical?

Yeah i saw that one

Regarding Nitroparis, i tried to deal with them a few months back but got no joy. You not only have to be a company, but you need to be VAT registered as well.

A member from this forum who managed to order a few bits and pieces from them, through his company, told me that when the stuff arrived it was in a terrible state...leaking boxes etc. he wasnt very impressed. Ive actually heard this from a couple of people now.

Also with the prices sooo cheap, you have to wonder what the quality/purity of the stuff is like. I guess you get what you pay for.

Having said that, ive used a few chems that came from them and they were not to bad (considering the price). I have had better tho.

Is 40£ for 1000 grams cheap? (plus shipping)
It is the same type of titanium that the person from eBay sells.

I've tried a few small samples from this guy a while back - he's helpful and his prices have come down a bit recently. His Ti sponge is good, as is his Magnalium. I let him know my intentions (fountains and stars) and he seemed OK with that.

I have so much invested in pyro at the moment and so little storage space, it's actually quite helpful to be able to buy in quantities of a few hundred grams, even if it's a false economy in the long run.

100g of Ti sponge = 83 x 1/2" gerbes for me

I made a few orders from NitroParis in 2005 and they arrived Ok?... I did have hassle with customs in belgium i think it was?...But i put that down to the fact i tried to order oxidisers and fuels together?.. Anyways i had 2 nice big orders from Nitro Paris metal drums for Magnalium,Magnesium,Alumnium, Paper sacks were for carbon potassium nitrate etc....

The prices are very good ? I cant say on the quality But you have to remember that NitroParis supplies fireworks makers so it must be up to the job?..If you Click Here NitroParis.. you can see some of the chems i got from them..It was a few years ago and i cant find all my pics...Eckhart 5413H super was so cheap i had to buy a drum!! i think it cost something like £7 Kg i wanted to get some Titanium but had to buy 50 kg and was not sure what mesh size to get?..I think i magnalium cost about a £10 kg?..I was very happy with Nitroparis and if i ever run out of chems will hopefully use them again..

Bloody hell...where do you store that lot!!

Surely you need some sort of storage license for that amount of chemicals? not to mention a huge wallet! :D

I tried to deal with Nitroparis last year and they were quite helpful, but they wanted to be paid by some kind of bank transfer that was going to cost a fortune. How did you guys manage to pay them?
