Have you got any experience with this sort of stuff?
Strontium nitrate is hygroscopic, so it will attract water from the air.
Water and uncoated Mg absolutely don't go together, and a mix with a hygroscopic oxidiser even makes things worse.

I've found a supplier from fireworkchemicals and he asks me $200/25KG bag, it's a very good price, but it comes from Asia and I think the shippingcosts will be very hughe.

hi, just bought some rice hulls, zinc powder and 65mm plastic shells from pyroworx ,they came in two days! so i would say 10/10
Just had a quick look at their website, it looks extremely expensive. It is around 10x the price I would pay for most of the listed chemicals and fuse etc and I think I pay over the odds for being a private individual and not a company.
for example, fast shotgun fuse £6.00 for 2m I pay £0.62, 4m of flying fish £12 I pay £1.86. Acetone £7.32 for 500ml I pay just over £5 for 5 Liters from a local paint supplier, again Xylene 50ml for £7.12 I pay £4 for 2.5L from a local paint supplier. Flash grade aluminium £8.56 for 50g I pay £21 per Kg and thats well over the odds. About the best value from the site is the ammonium perchlorate as that only about 4 x what I pay

I don't know about purchasing ammonium nitrate for making h.e but do any of you lot know what the maximum order quantity is for buying chemicals at hobbychem?
You see, the thing is, some months back I bought 300g of german dark, 250g of sulphur, 100g of magnalium and 200g of potassium perchlorate, the result was that I got my door bashed in by the police. I also bought some dextrin binder from the the chemical shop.
Anyway, I was arrested and my computer seized along with the chemicals and held for 10 hours in the clink and then released on bail. I felt i needed an explanation from hobbychem because i believed that they had duped me and alerted the police about my purchase. I was also told by my solicitor that that was probably the likeliest explanation for my arrest.
Two months later however, i was told that i would not be facing any charges. In the meantime, I have got to find £500 to have a new door fitted for which the police are reluctant to pay for: the thing that really frustrates me is i've only been in this hobby four months and i've already been arrested, not to mention feeling drained with frustration at whether I should quit or not...
Now I know why some of you diehards prefer fertilizers and milling to buying the bloody stuff.

And you should do just that trekkie, don't even contemplate making or using flash at this early stage in your pyrohobby, you and your stay on this forum will probably not last very long when this is your only objective.
I may sound like a priest, but believe me it's for your own good when you stay away from this stuff until you got more experience with reactive chemicals/formulations.
As a matter of fact I haven't made any flash to this day, and I'm doing this stuff for over four years now.
You will see that most forum members are not interested in making a quick bang, and in my opinion there's no challenge and reward in that.
Fireworks are a art form, and it's the art and science of making BEAUTIFULL fireworks that should be pursued.
