yes you've guessed it! only available from a few pyro shops, but harder to find than, and generally been replaced by perc and its use is frowned upon these days because of its sensitivity to sulfur mixes, which in the past has lead to many deaths/firework factory explosions, not recommended for flash comps, but does make nice blues! although i haven't tried that yet myself, but there is a 90% chance i will make some blues to ground test/film :)

also you dont really need it you can and will spend months perfecting bp based rocket motors, stars, fountains, wheels, hummers, shells, fuse ect, ect build me a caduceus rocket then think about perc

Apparently potassium perchlorate is also used in the rubber industry, though I don't know what for. Doubtful, but any friends who work in this type of job might be able to point you in the right direction for a local supplier.

For small samples of non critical purity potassium perchlorate, certain brands of fish oxygenating tablets are 98% potassium chlorate (think Wilkinsons etc.), but you could end up paying 80p for only approx. 5g. Still useful for experimentation or if you want to make e-match comp without having large amounts of chlorate lying around. Don't even waste your time trying to make blue comps with this stuff though, I have tried, it doesnt come close to the blue made with chlorate bought from Keten.

Account removed due to repeated breaches of forum rules and regulations (and probably MSER as well!). Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
