Amount of lift, delay time and (huge) break were all spot on.
Those slow gold stars look very nice by the way, will try that formula myself sometime soon.
Can't wait to see those double petal shells you're constructing.

Sasman, your shell will never stop impressing me.Here is the video 10" Plastic ball shell ...It looked pretty good from what you can see of it!...I couldnt belive it when i saw the shell soaring out of sight into a low cloud!!!! AAARRRGGHHH!! ..time fuse delay of 5 seconds the flash to bang was 26 frames which equals well over a 1000 foot= low cloud
You can clearly see the comet tail slowly start to vanish into the cloud...Then BOOM.. cloud lights up .. and several seconds later you could see the 30 mm stars..I filmed it about a mile away using another camera but that didnt pick up any detail just a big glow in the cloud...It took weeks to roll up those stars so has you can imagine i was very pissed off!!!!
It was a shame about the retarded cloud, however I guess it could be much worse...
firing a smaller shell would probably never make the way out of the cloud.
Can't wait to see the double petal, and don't forget many prefiring pics

I was very pleased since i just took some old veline blue lying around and only had a bp break AND considering this is my first ever paper ball shell. You can hear me screaming with joy the last seconds of the video.
Enjoy!

A shame, this damn cloud was there, BUT maaaaaaan it looks awesome! That is a perfect symmetrical break! Even the commercial shells fired the last weekend here in town did not look that great!
Keep it up and watch the weather before shooting your next beast!
Just got my first 4" paper ball shell in the air!

This was your first shell? a 4" one?! Congrats! We´ve got another skilled shell builder making his way up here!
Keep stuff coming. I mean construction-pics and videos!

paul---> It was my first paper ball shell ever and my first 4" ever! Before this one I'v made three 3" plastic ball shells and some smaller crap, although now I find the plastic ones to be to little of a challenge. In the future I'l use the plastic ones to test my stars.
My next project is another 4" paper shell with Winokur 20 to red strobe stars.
Just gotta find new cores for my stars.
