Fired some shells yesterday, here are the better ones from me

3" Canister with reeper silver (they were yellow, I guess that's what happens if you use bright Alu in them, the shell was KP Broken))

6" Round shell with blond streamer comets

6" Round shell with better pearl comets and small C6 cut stars

Enjoy and please comment :)

Very good shell - the inserts are perfect!!

Second that!

BrightStar: Amazing shell! The wind does a good job on letting it look even greater!
Pretty green flames: Great shells as well! Especially like the last one!

Pretty green flame: Nice, but I have one note. The effects are unsymetric, and don´t look like a big shell(maybe video). I thing that 6" is big:-)
Maybe, you can add much of round stars and make perfect chrysanthemum, another time:-) I don´t like comets in the Big shells(only crossettes).
I´m looking forward to your next shells.!
Bye.

Joseph - I can't seem to play the vid with either WMP or Quicktime - was it made using a special codec?

Yes, it's the free Divx codec available here: http://www.divx.com/.../windows/codec/. I get around 10:1 compression with it from VirtualDub (also free).

P.G.F. Great shells - nitrate flash seems to work well for the 6" stuff. I wondered though if you are under filling with stars. Try over filling the hemis slightly, so the stars protrude above the edge and then close the shell by tapping it firmly with a wooden dowel around the circumference. As the stars settle they lock in place and give a more even burst around the seam.

Thanks for the comments guys.

@KarlosH, I agree, the break were a bit unsymetric but I'm pretty happy for my first 6 inchers, canisters are another story, still haven't been able to produce nice round-ish break with them.

@Brightstar, I will try filling them a little over the edge, unfortunately, here I couldn't do this as the comets fell about 1cm short of the edge, and putting in another ring of comets would make the shell impossible to close. Will try this out when i'll be using smaller stars :)

Thanks, especially for that first link! There are three parts of that video, which show how
the REAL masters do their shells. Really amazing what they´re able to create!

The both "show-off-videos" are nice as well! A 300*12" display is something you´re not gonna see very often!
Sometimes I really really like videohosters like youtube :P

Btw guys: You can DL these videos from pyrobin now. They´re under the most recent posts.
For some it might be easier to DL them from pyrobin then to use a tool to rip´em from Youtube and convert
them from .flv to another format... Just a hint :)

Just a note to leosedf, those aren't Chinese, they're Japanese.
There's a huge difference in their production method (and awesomeness)!
