Hi
I am looking for a supplier of Plastic buckets with resealable lids or plastic drums?.... i have got a few which were used for paint and have very good airtight lids but there are not very big..
I have looked every where and can't find any one who sells them in small amounts i have found some suppliers who only sell in large quantities. .
There must be some one who sells such things.. non of my local hardware shops stock such items.. Anyone know who where to find some..
Thanks

A very good place to get plastic containers with lids for free is from school kitchens and similar.
Just go to you school or a school in the area you live and ask. The'll be hapy to get rid of them.

Working link: http://www.the-home-....uk/cat26_1.htm
Also, a lot of packages of 'normal' things can be used, I've used 500ml and 1 liter plastic containers which used to contain hairgel.

Well thanks for that guys... i have spent ages looking for chemical storage /drums/barrels/kegs etc....And all i had to do was look at Home brew supplies easy when you know how....
All the chemicals i have bought come in sacks or plastic bags..You should see the state of the Plastic sack the Strontium Nitrate arrived in it looked as though it had come out of a coal mine?..
I have had the SrNO3 for a few months but i dont want to open it until i have a nice air tight container..
I was looking on home brew supply webshop only the other day.. they use Stainless steel drums which is also what i am looking for..but i didnt see the plastic drums..I have manged to locate a few Stainless steel drums on ebay.. i want one for making a new star rolling machine..
**Edit** Nova thanks for the tip but im going a bit thin on top!! and hair gel is for blokes with hair!

This place has some good containers & lucky for me is only a few miles from where I live so no postage costs
http://www.cjk.co.uk/
There's a large range of plastic pails with snap on lids & handles for example:
3.5ltr ?0.65 12.5ltr ?1.80 20ltr ?2.76
There are also some air and watertight containers with screw lids certified for hazardous goods. They open and close with a quarter turn, nice. Page 4 of the hazardous goods packaging described as wide neck screw top container. The 25ltr costs ?10.05.
