A lot of high explosives (especially primaries) dont have oxygen present in their makeup, take Silve Acetylide for example - Ag2C2. These sort of explosives rely on energy breaking bonds within the explosive which then release the energy stored within. It can get very very complex, and this isnt the forum to discuss them.
