Kimbolton if you have the money and the space to use some of their bigger stuff. I kinda' stick to Bright Star, Blackcat or Men Shun for small to medium sized displays.
Kimbolton as others have said are on the expensive side but I like their quality. Bright Star, have a huge range that I really like, and most of the shops around my area are stockists of them so they are really easy to get hold of.

Fireworks Emporium (own brand)
& previously mention Devco.

I've not tried some of the brands mentioned, apart Bright Star, Panda and Menshun. Out of these three I'd say Panda being the most impressive.
A good range of Cakes and some of the finest Single Rockets on the market.

They have actually ceased producing consumer fireworks for the UK market now!

But it was a popular brand. Personally, I thought of it more as an "also ran" rather than a market leader. Decent, but with nothing to put it above other brands.

Fireworks International, I'd say are a good bet for favourite, although I've not seen their 1.4G flashpowder alternatives much, hope they havn't lost too much "whack."

Epic too are a very good brand, but perhaps slightly unfair to compare them head-to-head with other brands as Epic produce a lot of 1.3G stuff.

Panda have ceased importing the items into the UK and doing the wholesale/distribution thing themselves, but I know of at least one company who are importing Panda items direct from Panda in China for their own retail use

I didn't know that!

Do you mean made in the Panda factory, but sold under a different (or shop specific) brand name? Or will these actually still be Panda brand fireworks?

Ido not really have a favourite brand as i buy things from a lot of different companies but i do rate Black Cat,Kimbolton, Cosmic/Golden Lion,Fireworks International,Panda Bright Star andT.N.T.I have recently discovered Epic and will definately be getting stuff from them this year as their fireworks are really reasonably priced and look good on the videos.

Some dead good stuff in that range, yeah. A lot of it is still flashpowder effects, so its 1.3G.

i recently viewed the epic site, but could not find the Hercules cake from brothers, has it been withdrawn?

I don't think it's in the 2009 Brothers range, although I stand to be corrected, so it's possible they sold out.

There is now Hercules 2, which I think will be 1.4G (blackpowder effects.)

For me it's got to be Vulcan, Amazing effects and reasonably priced. Closely followed by Kimbolton.

I have lots of favourites, love the Royal Party range, Brother bit expensive but good quality so great fireworks, Cosmic range is very impressive also lots of variety and there NG range is brill!

Panda is very impressive too lots of variety, they are returning back to the UK as discussed with Mr Wang, they are looking for a new site for storing - not as many lines but still got a good range. I loved the Big Big World 19 Shot and also 49 Shot Metamorphous to name a few.

I love to many !!!
