Thought this might be of interest to someone. I'm tempted to bid myself....
Would be nice to have a look at those old formulas.

There seems to be a good market for this kind of nostalgia!
Now just need to persuade the winning bidder that they should share all the old formulas with us.....

I was going to bid for it myself, but I was amazed how high the bidding went. It would be nice to somehow reproduce the contents of the notepad for us all to see. I have contacted the winning bidder to see what can be arranged.
It should be very interesting to see what comes of it Richard.

I still can't believe people are paying ?250+ for what is basically a computer in a slightly smaller case that can do nothing but play games. And to top it off, it'll have gone down to about ?120 in six months.
mad parents.
apparently over in the usa they were going for 4 times that.
wish i could get one, sell it, make ?150.

Guess I could send the winning bidder a log on for the forum where Adam could slap him around with the "Big Stick"
As for web addy's and e-mail addy's.. some reasonable money changing hands for them.. even things like xbox360seller@hotmail.com.. hotmail was free last time I checked yet someone just paid ?400 odd for the addy.
Hmm.. wonder what I could get for a half raving lunatic forum member
Hey Richard... can I have xbox360@ukrocketry.co.uk mail addy bet I could sell it ..lol

Yes it is made to play games, but the price is low if you look what technology is inside.
Custom IBM PowerPC-based CPU
? Three symmetrical cores running at 3.2 GHz each
? Two hardware threads per core; six hardware threads total
? VMX-128 vector unit per core; three total
? 128 VMX-128 registers per hardware thread
? 1 MB L2 cache
CPU Game Math Performance
? 9 billion dot product operations per second
Custom ATI Graphics Processor
? 500MHz processor
? 10 MB of embedded DRAM
? 48-way parallel floating-point dynamically scheduled shader pipelines
? Unified shader architecture
You won't get this kind of performance for this kind of money on the PC.
Microsoft actually sells every console with loss.
And ofcourse prices will drop when the revolution and ps3 will come out, that's normal, early adopters will pay premium but that's normal in this kind of market
