We may predomintly use the likes of Fireone and Firelite for displays but believe me the old fashioned firing boards still come out to various shows.
Like many of the people on the forum, you will build a single firing device then will modify it to fire a few more and so on.. before you know it you will have built a 20 cue firing panell ... all part of natural progresion.

On a separate point, is that really how much fireworks cost these days??? or is that just a bit of the proverbial extortion!
