:) This pack of two mines ?2.97 from ASDA (more elsewhere) celebrate the 400th Anniversary of Guy Fawkes attempt to blow up the houses of parliament, and come in the novel shape of barrels! Each starts off with a whistling fountain then ejects a flurry of colour stars ending in LOUD reports! Bit small for 25m distance tho'. Still it's a good cheap option if you want a bit of excitement to your show. :D

Good to know these are good, I bought two packs of them for my Christmas Eve display a few weeks ago, Up unitll now I didn't have a clue how good they were going to be. Are they all the same coloured stars or is each "barrel" different?

No it's the usual multicoloured red/green/blue etc mixed sort of stars. Still good though!

The TNT Starburst rockets are quite good and have a reasonable colourful starburst for 5m rockets.

I tried to buy some of these but they'd sold out :( So i ended up buying the "Space War" mines which were ?5.48 for 2. They wern't bad, started off with a fountain which screamed/whistled and then there was a massive explosion, quite a big burst, followed by a load of silver sparks crackling really loud. Quite good but quite short lived aswell.

I got a packet of those ?2.47 Star Burst rockets aswell, i didn't think much of them, but i guess i need to keep in mind they only cost ?2.50 for 5 lol there wasn't a big burst with these or any report when they exploded, but they were okay.

The Starburst Rockets are actually low noise hence the quiet burst and falling colour stars.
