I really want this to happen, it only doesnt happen when people don't work hard to make it happen, so lets make this happen!
We need to think about 'what do we do from here' because I know I for one wont be able to chip in untill after christmas probably so lets wait till then? I'll probably put 200 into the project another 9 of them and were sorted. Just think, no more fuse or tube problems for a very long time.

Drew :)

I seriously hope you all keep this above board and proceed with the maximum possible conscienciousness and legality, obtaining or owning licenses where neccesary. If at any time anything slighly dodgy is apparent then this site will no longer be happy to host this content, and the appropriate action will be taken.

I hope everything goes well if you manage to make it happen, but please be aware of our fears of being branded a host to any discussion of illegal import / storage activity.

If the idea sounds a little dodgy, can you make this topic member only view?

adamw: I have no intention of doing this if it becomes illegal, I really don't want to be chucked off this forum so I wouldn't do anything to jeopardise my membership or the reputation of this board.

Yes i would be interested in fuse and at the same time how about AP and KP. If we could get together a decent order then this would benifit everyone.

You can store 5 Kg net of explosive before you have to register or get a licence. Enthusiasts should do well to read a copy of MSER.

Surprised at the size of the limit, seems a lot.

As I'm just starting to do this on a reasonable scale, where can I get a copy? (or online)

All this trouble for fuse, am i correct? I don't know the circumstances in UK but couln't one just sign up as a shooter for a display company and that way get all the fuse needed. Besides, you would get paid for doing what you like most.

Well that someone wont be me, my main interest is computers, they take up too much time, pyro is my hobby. And even if we could source visco in the UK, are we going to be getting it at anywhere close to 1p per metre? The idea is straight forward, we just need a litttle planning. Watch this space.

I was just using the ?5k as an example, it may well be less, probably is. But before we get too carried away, i need to know how much genuine interest there is in this. Everybody who is interested say 'aye'

I'm in for at least 500m, more if needed to complete order.

Also other materials if available.

Good luck with arrangements, may speak with friend in shipping business re: storage.

I would love to have a large supply of 2,3,4,5,6 and 8 inch cardboard hemi's, and time fuse. I would put money into this, its all very well saying it but i hope most if not all will dig deep.

I can't see too many UK fireworks companies rewarding their firers in fuse. I'm sure it does happen, but fireworks companies are a bit miserable when it comes to selling fuse to hobbyists. You practically need a licence to break wind loudly over here.
