not really, you could make a protective cover over the lens, and lightly tack it down at the sides. Attach it to a longish thin wire, which is weighted or pegged to the ground.
When the shell goes up, the cover is pulled off - presto

It would have to be very lightly attatched otherwise the jerk of the tether could send the shell off course.

That was my view also, maybe not worth the risk. If the camera was facing down looking through a clear hemi you could just add a normal hemi under it, and when the lift ignites the protecting hemi will be pressed up against the shell. As the pressure from lift has gone the protecting hemi will just fall off.

The audio is sooo good. I could listen to a loop of it for hours...O.K. not hours.

Wow those are good, takes a fair time to come back down Still think we need to have the view from a shell as that would kinda interesting!!
