Hi guys, the question i am about to ask is probably geared more towards those involved with the proffessional / commercial display side of things but here goes.

I have been asked to put on a display to conclude a new years party at a local dance school and was wondering if the more experienced members of the forum would be able to suggest suitable ways in which lancework / set pieces can be used safely on a hard firing site (car park).

Incase i am unable to reply to those who answer the above question, I am truely greatful towards those who were able to provide an answer for the above enquirey.

All the best!
Who said there wasnt fireworks between us?

I built and used wooden frames with legs and feet and nailed nails to it then hung the lancework on their wooden frames over the nails covering with a bag to keep dry then tearing the bag(s) off before I fire using a craft knife. I used sandbags to keep the frames steady and upright. If you use a big enough board nailed across the middle of the frame(s) you can put wheels on it. :D

Like Anthony says, a simple wooden frame structure would suffice, as for safety distances in a car-park, lancework is fairly safe compared to other fireworks so i'd say you could get a away with having it 20m from the crowd.
