Yes, I was there rigging on the display that won the competition. It was a fantastic couple of days, glorious weather, and everyone was really pleased with the end result too.

strange - I was under the impression that they were not allowed at Plymouth any longer???

No sorry i mean aqua colour shells not the shells that burst on water. Although i have seen them used and they are very nice. I read that there maybe a restriction on the maximum shell size soon.

There are a few videos available, and as soon as the all whistles and bells site is online I will put these up.
The display had a lot of impact. We used large numbers of angled single-shot candles and 50mm comets, in many sequence configurations. The photos below give you some idea of the type of effects used.
