Unfortunately i wasnt looking too hard, at the time i was unaware of the reputation of the small island.

I'm tempted to try and go again for this thing or if i cant, next year.

Don't know about rich millionaires, but there are flights available from ?55 depending on where you live if you shop around.

for accommodation, i am sure you could camp, or sleep rough.

it's really getting to the airport that's the problem, ?100+ for a return train.

and ?55 is not much money to better off people, but it's alot to me.

Same here, plus there's insurance on top of that.

A couple or three years ago in a moment of boredom I had a go at finding the cheapest way of getting a holiday in Malta. The result was ?120 for two weeks self catering inc flights! The big problem was I had to be at the airport by 4.30 that day  You can get really good deals but you need to be able to move fast.

Im finding it a nightmare. The only hotel available in vallette is a 5* and that'll cost a fortune. All the rest are full, which is only to be expected, when there is this big event there. So, im looking just outside valletta now. Also the flights are really expensive, where can i get one for ?55? Ive checked all the low cost airlines and none fly there. The only thing ive found so far is a package ?549 for 2 adults, outside valletta in cottonera. Any travel agents on this forum? :D

Carl......what are the details of your trip?

Using http://www.flights4less.co.uk I found a return flight for ?153.70 per person. That's from Heathrow or Gatwick. I find it annoying that you have to state the dates of travel before finding a price. If you can be flexible it would be easier to search within a rabnge of dates. I'm sure there are cheaper than that. This one is a bit better for that http://www.justthefl.../MLA-malta.html

I'll look more when I have the time. Always willing to encourage people to visit Malta :)
