Phonix - I suggest you will post where you are coming from and see if someone can give you a ride. Car share is an option people will glad to go with! 3 weeks to go - register!I'd love to come to the convention, but it's a few days after I start Uni (i.e. during fresher's week). I'd thought that I might wait until I got to Uni and see if it was going to be practical to hop on a train and skive off for a day, but having investigated this, it seems it would take me about 5-1/2 hours to get there and 6-1/2 to get back, changing trains frequently. I think I'm going to have to give it a miss. Apologies to everyone who's organised the convention, it has my full support in spirit, if not in person. Hope you all have a great time!

I am in the same position, but since I'm going to the University of Birmingham I'm not too far away. I'm still not sure whether I will be able to come along though.
If I don't make it, good luck and have fun. I will try hard to come though.

Chem eng that brings back some memories. I'll bet they still have the same logo on the faculty sweatshirts etc "exchange heat in a fluidized bed with a Brum Uni Chemical Engineer"
