May I draw the attention of the forum to pyrotooling.com, who are currently donating all proceeds from their BP rocket kits to the Fireworks Foundation's fight against the CPSC.

I would encourage all members to take the opportunity to buy these tools and support this important cause - where the US goes, the rest of the world follows... Shipping to the UK is only USD 12 for the 1lb kit - mine has just arrived.

I to ordered a 1 pound bp rocket kit a while ago, realy good quality.
For the price you can't go wrong, and you're donating a good cause ofcource.

I have a 1/2" rocket set from their and had only 2 CATOs in the past 40ish rockets, which were down to me testing new fuel mixes anyway. Really happy with it and anything I can do to help fight against the CPSC I will, as most of my chems and fuse comes from America

I wondered where you could buy rocket tooling from (I doubt I'd be able to make my own). I'm going to buy the 1/2" BP tooling set, just waiting for him to get back to me to confirm postage price to the UK. Thanks for the site.

These are my custom machined spindles.;

The big one is a one inch, for fountains mainly, and the smaller one is a wide choke half inch....

Hi,

I have just finished maching a small half inch spindle. The spindle shaft which forms the choke hole is 5mm at the base, 4mm at the top and 18mm high. It does have a very gentle taper, but its not as drastic as my inch spindle (picture)

Is this taper enough to be able to get the spindle out of the tube?
