Pretty much the exact same stuff as last year. I got the "Space War" mines last year and they wern't bad, quite decent actually. This year i bought the smaller "Powder Keg" mines, i wanted them last year but they'd sold out, so i'll finally see what they're like this time!

The cheap ?2.47 rockets wern't great, but at that price you can't expect much!

I bought a couple of Powder Keg mines last Nov 5th and at New Year and I have to say I was very impressed, lasted for a decent amount of time too. Very good value for a £1.50 ea mine and I'll be picking some up again. I'll be trying to get some Space War mines too as they were sold out when I went last time.

Anybody tried their selection boxes? I got their Blast Zone last year and it was a mixed bag. Some good stuff in it (the candles and cakes were particularly good) but the rockets were terrible and the fountains were a little disappointing. They also had 10 tiny mini fountain things which allowed them to claim the box contained 26 fireworks. Some of the bigger ones look a bit more impressive particuarly the Bumper Box set.

ASDA's selection is pretty lame. The selection boxes are standard fare- not bad, but not ace either. Rather than go for expensive selection boxes it is better to buy a few bigger cakes individually from fireworks shops. The larger selection boxes are poor value for money- nothing in the range is cheap really.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

you get like 18+ roman candles that are very good!
about 10+ fountains that some last for like 30secs+ which is good!

Please don't post the same post in two different threads, it just wastes space.

Looks like a not bad box :)

The only thing i had from Asda were two "Powder Keg" mines. I'll post a video of one of them later tonight :)

Got most of my fireworks from Asda this year. Bought the Big Boom selection box shown up there and it was very very good. Some nice ball-head rockets and the fountains and candles were very good too, lasted for ages.

Also bought a pack of Space War and Powder Keg mines, absolutely superb, both of them. They both did roughly the same thing, whistled and kicked out a fountain type display before erupting into a burst of stars. They were very similar with the Space Wars being a bit louder and "bigger" as it were.
