Sodium benzonate can be found from time to time on ebay. It's also available here:
Sodium benzoate - Aromantic skin care
There is a long thread devoted to buying chems BTW... it keeps things tidy if there aren't too many new threads...
Making whistle will make you suddenly scared when you next drink diet coke and the benzoate smell triggers an 'OMG explosives' reflex Do be careful though - whistle is dangerous stuff.

Diaper, DO NOT SCREEN IT. It's sensitive like flash. Treat it with the same respect and caution as flash and you should be okay. Do not ram it, only press it.
I'm sorry Mortartube - this is not correct. Whistle is nowhere as sensetive as flash, and in the industery it is screened, not daipered. I would advise on Daipering in general with such metrials as they are powerful, and when they go wrong, they go very wrong, but if you use clean screens designated for benzoate/perchlorate mixtures, then you are probably okay.
DO NOT SCREEN FLASH!!! NEVER! and do not ram anything but BP.
Really, all of this is in plain details in other threads. Read.
Sorry for typos. No spell checker this time.

I never said that it was AS sensitive as flash, but I was trying to impart the fact that is considerably more sensitive than BP and needs careful handling. We never screened flash in the factory that I worked in but diapered it after the individual materials had been screened. Why take the risk, it is almost as destructive as flash if it all goes wrong. Whistle is sensitive to shock and friction and I don't feel like forcing it through a sieve. Each to their own I suppose.
