Just got a new catalogue from Rapid Electronics, they have some packs of tubes that might be useful for various uses that don't need a strong tube, see http://www.rapidonli...;moduleno=71247

(BTW these are 40mm OD - could be useful if anyone wanted to make cups for 50mm mines)

BTW, they also do lab equipment at good prices, of particular note are platic storage bottles and pestles and mortars.

ps: if any one hears ware i could ges some convolute wound tubes made frome hih virgin wood without having to buy 500 tubes a a time! plz tell me (and even beter would be if you are part of a group who share orders so could involve me in your next purchase)

ps: hih virgin convolute wound tubes are briliant for all pyro aplications especialy ware strength is an isue as the virgin fibers are still intact and will hold about 3 times as much presure! so is great for things like shell lounchers, hih power rockets etc.

I assume hih is a brand of high quality tube in europe. There is a seller in the US that sells high quality rocket tubes in bunches of 10 I believe. They are long tubes, and will make a good number of standard rocket tubes when cut up. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Might be worth giving him an e-mail or a call and see about shipping to the UK.

Try Newark or Digi-key for electronic bits as well.
