NAME
Mars Attacks.
TYPE
Cake
DESCRIPTION
Ok this one was my favourite. Large green and a couple other colour palm bursts in the sky each with a very loud bang. Obviously not as big as a 12 inch professional shell but the flash burst made them go pretty big in the sky!
COST
£9-£12 if I remember but ive also a feeling this could have only been £6. If so get a few!
NAME
Golden Jubilee
TYPE
Cake
DESCRIPTION
Lots of loud bangs with gold crossette kinda breaks, lots of glitter and palm bursts going off real fast. This was my second favourite. At the end it shoots up 3 flash charges at the same time for an enormous bang as loud as any! A great one to use for the finale!
COST
£9-£12
NAME
Jewel of the Nile
TYPE
Cake
DESCRIPTION
Lots of fairly large spider shaped bursts going from purple to green! Not very loud but possibly the most visually appealing
COST
£9-£12

We use a fair smattering of smaller Cat 3 cakes in our displays, normally firing them in multiples/fronts. I could list loads, but an example would be:

Hello! Long time no see guys. Tonight and last weeks I have done two small fireworks displays in my local park. The first costing £20 and tonight costing £30. I would like to list a few fireworks that are most worthy of any professional display. As in massive palm bursts with huge flash reports plus a few others. Ok so here they are. Please add your own to the list.
Well here goes my two penneth, Raptor mines by next generation (cosmic group) 19 shot mine cake available in two varieties (hunting and angry raptors)
expensive @ £50 (retail) but very nice, great depth of colour, my personal favourite being the "hunting".
I would guess each tube being about 60mm in diameter (maybe slightly less ,maybe slightly larger), very effective anyway.
Menshun's obsession @ roughly £25-£30 retail very impressive 30 shot cake good height and big bursting effects
not sure of shot size but it is on the large side, good colour depth
Menshun's darkness invader is also rather good, 19 shot @ £10-£15 retail, again good height and impressive breaks as well as good colour depth.
And if we are talking suitable for professional display's why not a next generation "extravaganza" nearly £100 and if you like the colours vivid and the breaks large and a nice variation of effects from one item, then its well worth a look
we had one in 2006 and I was very concerned about forking out for the thing (value for money), but from my point of view it was worth every penny!!
regards
Reb
Sure its edible, but who would want to eat it?
