The alcohol is either as a solvent for the binder or to reduce the surface tension, or to aid the evaporation of the water used in mixing.
Keep mannequins and watermelons away from fireworks..they always get hurt..

ah man now i have 2 litres of it sitting round... lol thanksWhite spirit is not an alcohol! While it may be available and cheap, it is not miscible with water and doesn't evaporate well.

Just buy some methylated spirits...
