heard a lot about these so am going to have a go at them myself, does any one have any tips they want to add i am going to be using the following composition

Magnesium, 60 mesh (treated with potassium bichromate) 23%

Ammonium perchlorate 60%

Barium sulfate 12%

Potassium dichromate (as a stabilizer)5%

If you're going for a green strobe, it's supposed to be 17% BaSO4. It may seem a bit counter intuitive, but the excess dichromate is +5%, not 5%. There is a small difference, but in this case will have a large impact on the star. IE if you keep it the way it is, you're probably going to get a white strobe.

Cheers for that, i thought it was a little off when i 1st wrote it down from the website i got it from, will try both combinations see what i get
