It's probably talking about Durhams water putty.

Edit: having looked through the site, I've realised it's british. The guy uses bentonite for other projects, but I wouldn't think its especially suitable for salutes, I dunno what relief casting is, but I guess that's your clue. I think it might be pretty green flames' site.

I do believe PGF is from lithiuania, or some other country in the area, not the UK.

Asteroid, you are correct, the stuff i use is be similar to durhams watter putty. But i don't use it anymore because of the dangers that are associated with plugs that do not get pulverized by the explosion. Kitty litter straight from the bag and rammed hard works just as good and the risk of getting killed by a flying end plug are greatly reduced.

Thanks, I had a look around the site and saw your flames and name, and thought - hmmm that can't be a coincidence. This page has details on making your own paper endplugs, also no risk of shrapnel, but harder to make IMO

my problem is:
im making bangers with e matches inserted into the case,
I use kitty litter for the bottom plug but my ematches are way too delicate to be rammed.
Is there anything else i could use?

Try constructing it with a normal visco fuse or whatever, then integrate the ematch into the fuse? Whats wrong with poking the e-match through the fuse hole?

I dont have any decent fuse!
I cant buy visco, im currently making a machine to produce it.

Pyroplanet sell fuse, and have a good offer on flying fish fuse. www.ukvisco.co.uk is good too
