I found strontium chloride at the pet store. It was $13 for 300g, strotium chloride. is this any good?

And you can make strontium nitrate from chloride quite easy by ion exchange. Sodium nitrate is probably the most suitable when thinking about solubility, but it may disturb the colour spectra of the finished product.

What purpose was the strontium chloride used for? Its generally considered to be toxic in anything but smallest of doses.

Strontium chloride Is some times used in aquariums, it is used in low doses to increase the growth rates of coralline algae and hard corals.

I have a pound of strontium chloride never got around to find a comp for it. Anyone now a red comp useing strontium chloride?
