So did I. Haven't recieved anything yet, but communication and transaction went smooth.
Now I'll just have to wait and see.

Okay even though my mortars arrived I never got a refund for the broken hemispheres, I took a picture and according to the seller they do not look damaged. Well they are! They look complete on a picture, but try sticking to together and you cannot in anyway get them to fit.
Even the really damaged I do not get refund for.
The seller told me that I get some free ones if I order from her again, but I really don't think I'm getting all the ones that are broken.
Also I'm not going to order from her again because I ordered what I needed.

Well you quickly knows who you can trust and who you can't

The Chinese hemis never seem to fit exactly - at least the ones I have come across don't (up to 5mm out for a 4" hemi). I just try to pick out pairs that are roughly the same and by the time I've closed the shell with a wrap of masking tape around the equator they flex a bit to fit and work just fine.

Japanese hemis are supposedly better in this respect, but I guess it's all a matter of degree...

Should have crushed them up a bit first eh :)

Shame the shipping is so high, sick of paying huge amounts for paper products

Brightstar is right, Chinese ones are almost never perfect fits. You dont pay much for them, I guess when they are made some expand more than others. You can get them to fit, I have before. It just takes some strong tape. The Japonese ones are more expensive but always fit and are much better made. Try making them fit better, if they are water damaged then fine but if just out of shape I think your moaning a bit too much.

Many of them are out of shape, however many are "pressed" flatter during transport so they are too big to fit, is this normal?

Somw will be smaller and some will be larger, like we said the tolerances on them are not as high as Japonese ones. Post a picture of the worst ones, if it was me I would make them fit together by reshaping them. If you make a mould with one then you can steam the hemis and reshape them if you need them to all fit.

Nah.. I'll be fine then. I have plenty of hemis so I'll just handpick the best ones and use them and leave the bad ones behind.
Nevermind.

I ordered 10 sets of hemis of different sizes from "Ting Luo" and Supreme Pyro by email, and they arrived today.
Nicely packed in rice hulls. (That was a bonus, it was her suggestion actually).

I must say I tried this because I wanted to find out if things were as bad as some post claim, and also I needed the hemis..
Communications with her/them have been excellent, and I will probably order again.
Maybe Pudi has had a bit of bad luck with his order, or she/they changed their packing and shipping, I don't know.
But they seem fine with me.

The problem with my package was actually that she didn't pack it herself, only this time, so yes it's bad luck.
I'm over it now though...
