As the title says.
At first I thought they were decent, and I waited for my package until today were it came.

I ordered some shell hemispheres from 1-6" around 115.
I also bought 1 kg of rice hulls, 3 crossette tools, 10-300 mesh screens,
2-6" mortar tubes, and a few chemicals.

Here's what I got:

- All the shell hemisphere were just thrown in package in the bottom. Almost all of them were damaged.
A few was completely unusable the rest was usable but bended. Some shells were not the same size, some fitted over another. This is fine, because this will save some time pasting.

- There were a leakage in the bag of rice hulls, not a big one, but there were rice hulls in the bottom.

- The tools were fine but 2 of them had not knurled heads.

- The screens were okay

- Never got the tubes which I had paid 125$ for... just 6 f**king tubes! Ripoff, but I thought I would at least get them!

- The chemicals were packed in one (just one) plastic bag. There is a leak on of of the bags.
Can't tell which chemical it is since the paper that indicates the chemical is inside the bag(!).

So as said, do not order from this person.
Some of it might be the postal service, but she could at least do some decent packing,
it is very typical of chinese people to do it this way. I know because I'm half chinese.

I made a pretty large order from her, and most things went smoothly. The shipping prices kept drastically rising though, and I still was billed £25 by Fedex for duty and taxes. However, minus the mad postage costs I ended up paying, the products themselves seemed well packaged, in good condition and with nothing missing.

What chemicals were you buying? Hope there were no incompatibilities in that bag :o

I am afraid that I have to agree that the quality of the tools & tubes are poor. I ordered rocket tooling & tubes.
The tooling was machined OK, but made from some crappy quality brass that is very brittle. I snapped the spindle & one drift in the first week.
The tubes were meant to be 10mm ID. About 10% were that ID, the rest ranged from 11 - 12mm.
When I complained about the poor tubes, I was told I would get some free with my next order, but they would not send replacements without an order. I have no intention of placing another order.

Well,
Shallac, Iron powder, Barium and strontium sulfate, fire clay, dextrin, parlon.

So nothing to be too afraid of.

Oh, one other thing- A slight problem with my 1" fountain tooling was that it obviously hadn't been thought through very well, as the spindle formed a choke only about 4mm. Means I have to use a drill bit to widen the hole, which weakens the choke a bit.

How do you get chemicals from them? I've been looking for a source of Parlon and Red Gum that isn't too expensive. What were their prices and what other chems do they sell?

Haha, found out I didn't order Barium Sulfate... Why did I then have 7 bags of chems???
Checked and found out she accidentally gave me 500 g of Parlon extra.

wyattp> the price of Parlon is 9$ for 500g.
Expect to pay the double due to the shipping.

What sizes of the shell halfs in the box was damaged?
Please dont worry , i will pay you back anyway,so that you dont angry at me.
It is really the first time happened this to me.Normally i package all my package

I think she has probably read your posts here & rec.pyro & realised that damage limitation is required.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for - the products are cheap (shipping aside) & the quality is reflected in the price.
