I think I'm going to put together a little tutorial on that, a lot of people ask for it. Really it's pretty simple and doesn't look like it will work but so far it has a perfect record on rockets smaller than 6 pounds.

Here is a video of my first 3lb whistle, i was a little disapointed with the power but it was made with the leftover of my whistle which is a week or so old. It also had a 2.5" plastic shell header witha mis of D1 glitter and meal+5% MgAl stars.

Ooh man, you keep amazing me Kevin.
Those rockets are huge!, the first one with that (commercial?) 8'' shell went up so fast, like it didn't have a payload.
That second one made a huge amount of noise, chlorate whistle in there by any chance?
Very power full stuff man, keep m flying and stay green.

Yeah I put together a nice pictorial on building a 3 stage 6 pound whistle rocket, and wouldn't you know it when I fired it stage two CATO'D. So I never posted it up because there was something wrong and I haven't figured it out yet although I'm pretty sure it was a passfire issue. The cometes were a WEAK first attempt at a matrix comet. The base was the Kyle Kepley's gold comet formula slightly modified in the charcoal department. The stars were a kitchen sink of glitter attempts. You will be seeing a LOT more of those comets in rocket videos to come, with small tweaks here and there. I really like those comets on the short core screamer rockets where a heavy payload isn't really a great idea, there were 6 2.5" comets on that rocket weighing in at 1363 grams (just the comets). It looked like three comets because I stacked them in three colums of two and taped the columns individually.
