What type of antimony sulphide do you use for the dark flash - is Chinese needle or the black stuff? - just wondering if there might be a difference.
Trying to do something very beautiful but very dangerous very safely....

I use the 400 mesh black stuff that keten sells, i find it works better when you up the percentage of Perc to 65:35

Karl I think you should add titanium to these so that you can get a ring-of-sparks sort of effect going on... or better yet, make ones with tiger tail stars. A ring-of-bursts-that-weep would be amazing to see.

I have made titanium ones before, they look great. I have tested some beraq, one out of 3 red flash ones worked. So just some minor adjustments and they will be ok.

Here is the video of the beraq spiking, I was spiking the 1H 1/2" ones here.

No questions just a comment: niiiice videos! The show how nimble-fingered and skilled you are :) Off center spiking such small
beraq´s takes a great deal of patience and skill I think!

Hope to see them in action soon!

They are quite hard to spike, but you get the hang of it when you make 500 or so. You can see them in action on my youtube videos, look at the November Sequence 1, you will see them fire near the end. The breaks were not good as I had to use some of my Gamon 4" cases, they had butterfly breaks. But now I make the cases myself as I do with my 6" shells. I will get more vids up when I make some more. The only video I did not make was the hole punching and delay procedure. I will do a video of these sometime soon.
