My friend has access to buy fireworks from bookers they are TNT fireworks and i was wondering what people think i should buy i only have a very modest budget £35 but please could you help me out thanks!

What is the discount?

In my opinion TNT is a weak brand- they are shockingly over priced, and use "window dressing" to make fireworks look much bigger (and better) than they are.

However, at a decent discount it might be worth buying a few items.

The cheap individual stuff is good- Night Treasure fountain, crickets fountain and purple rain.

Of the bigger stuff Sinister, Bruno and Moving Target produce nice effects, but they are so over-sized that storing them and setting them up is a hassle!

Probably the best stuff they do is the old Millenium stuff- Battle of the Cyborgs, Ballbreaker, the little £4.99 cakes.

Avoid Big Honking Star (£55 RRP, 15 shots) and Mine Sweeper (£65 RRP for 19 shots)- Even at Half Price this is a shocking rip off!!!

i was looking at the lidl fireworks and i rember having the blue apollo rockets last year they were amazing so i think i will get 2 packs of them and 2 packs of the purple moon selection pack and a cake which one do you think would be the best crowd pleaser on its own

hi there kimbolton sapphire selection box £34.99 from e-fireworks.co.uk ! cant see you getting a better deal than that the fireworks are outstanding too apparently!!!

i was looking at the lidl fireworks ... which one do you think would be the best crowd pleaser on its own

To be honest- none of them! Lidls stuff is OK, but the selection is really limited. The cakes, all two of them, are pretty good, but they are still rather small. For the real "crowd pleaser" stuff, check out a dedicated fireworks shop.

Asda are also selling TNT brand fireworks, but the prices dont seem that good. Same usual BOGOF on small fountain packed selection boxes and some of the larger SIB's,....well they seem a huge ripoff.

Yeah, overpackaged and poor quality. Expect awful and incompetent service, too. There advertising is 2 for £18 £10 each . I've said it before, but with such a variety of fireworks available from specialist dealers etc, why get 2 of the same thing? OK, the price per unit is a bit less, but you've still spent more money which would have been better spent on other stuff.

The fireworks themselves are likely to be very average.

arghhhhh the p&p is £20 my parents wont let get them then shame because the looked so good i will try and have a look at my local dealer i went passed there didnt seem to be anything amazing there though:( the lidls fireworks we had last year were good though but i would like a change

P&P is an issue, yeah, its not really worth it unless you are spending a lot of money. Which other shops do you live near? Aldis £10 selection box is pretty good.

yeah i can get to a aldi store today i will take a look if my mum can be bothered to drive me over there its right the ovther side of town so... i will also check out the store in hereford today i can probably get them on monday if you guys reply quick enough

i went into town today and i bought the fireworks i have 1 purple moon selection pack and 1 pack of apollo rockets from lidl. From aldi i bought the £5 selection pack and the mephemis rockets £10 and i went into the fireworks shop and bought some catherine wheels by red dragon they were £6 for 3 mediumly big ones which i thought would be nice because i dont like cakes that much unless the ban and glitter alot and for under £7 i wasnt goin to be able to find one so .... what do you think of my selection?
