Has anyone tried any of these? I got a small pack as they looked quite interesting for £4.99 with a good few being badged as 'display' fireworks. A couple of 5 shot roman candles and decent sized fountains with a good weght including 2 (60 shot?!) silver star batteries which sound interesting from a smallish firework.

Oh, and 2 whistling fountains which I always like!

OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

The 5 shot were boing and lacked "effort" in my opinion, that was more like a filler firework. However, if you forked out a bit more and opted for the £10 Firepack, you could have got the supposed 60 shot battery, crackling 7 shot + fountain combo, 100 shot roman candle, 7 (or 10, can't remember) shot 1/2" shell barrage, 2 whistling fountains, 2 crackling cones (impressive) and a few others.

Yeah, I wasnt expecting much from the candles.

The pack has 2 60 shot batteries and also the 2 whistling fountains, the 100 shot roman candle sounds nice though.

The firepack is pretty good, i've gotten through most of mine now, the 60 shot candle is over pretty quick and the 100 shot is decent....might be an idea to expose the tubes though, the tissue paper makes it a little hard for the first couple of stars to come out & some landed on the floor....a great value pack

I bought the £10 pack to examine some construction techniques, and supplement my own pyro as I haven't had a great deal of time recently, it seems the 60 shot candle is 12 multishot candles with incredibly thin wall thickness with the fuses wrapped together (not joined in any particular way, just simply all 'thrown in' together!) I seperated the candles to examine them further. When fired each candle only burns for around 5-10 seconds and the first couple of stars land on the ground, the last one blew blind. It has nothing to do with the tissue paper on the top though, it is due to the shorter length of tube the first few stars are fired from reduces the effectiveness of the lift gasses, and in order to make them reach the same height more lift should be added. Obviously in this case the effect wasnt accounted for.

Also as a note to other people who want do this to make the candles last longer, I was taking apart only the outer wrap and tubes, not modifying the comp or any other part. These were then fired in the same way as a normal roman candle.

I was very worried by the wall thickness of the tubes though, it was around .5mm on a 6mm tube. When I make multishot candles I use around 1/3rd to 1/2 the tube ID.

The fountains do look reasonable quality, but the 100 shot candle seems to be constructed in a similar way to the 60 shot silver candle, so that will also be slightly dissapointing.

One other thing I have noticed is that these fireworks which are supposedly German in origin have the orange/red clay nozzles (on fountains) characteristic of ones from Liuyang, so maybe they are a mixture of different suppliers.

You can never have a long enough fuse...

I'm curious about this too. Nowhere on the packaging does it say where it was made- it just says "Imported by." Now, I think all things from China must say "Made in China" on them? Anyone more savvy about the law on this, please help!
