I've noticed a distinct lack of coloured sparklers on sale at any of the supermarkets this year. Does anyone know why this is?

I may have to go to a hardware shop and buy some.

And as a side note avoid TNT sparklers like the plague, they seem to have managed to ruin a really simple thing.

The couple I tried one of them went out twice and one of them was shooting sparks half a metre... both very also very hard to light.

I think most fireworks shops will have coloured sparklers- although perhaps they are being phased out? I used to think that the fumes they gave off were sometimes a bit cough-enducing. Sorry, I can't think of a better word!
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

You could tape 3-5 of each colour together and make a cheapo flare :P
