Just want to put out a call to all the UK pyros. Be sure to get some video footage of the festivities. I am in need of a culture lesson concerning November 5TH. I read up on the story behind the holiday, but am not aware of what exactly goes on.

As for what goes on, well most people just let off a few fireworks. Some people , space allowing, build bonfires. An increasingly smaller number of people (typically children) make a "guy" - a life size model resembling guy fawkes, dressed in old clothes, filled with paper etc. We had great fun doing that when we were younger. He is then traditionally burnt on the bonfire.

OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is.
