Anyone tried using NH4NO3 85% with 15% charcoal?
It should be vastly superior to BP with twice as much gas being produced

It smells foul and is lit with great difficulty, burning very slowly. How do I make it burn as fast as nitrocellulose?

PanMaster - nice avatar, but could you please make it a bit smaller. The size of mine is what they *should* be.

With the NH4NO3 - if you are using pure stuff, then you will get a lot further. If you are trying with impure, fertiliser grade, then I dont think you will get anywhere. Pure, even 'Technical' grade isn't really hydroscopic, its only the impurities in the other grades that make it so unuseable.

Could you please shrink down that avatar? It really is way too large. Nothing bigger than mine please...Cheers.
