About the issue of transporting and manufacturing fireworks during the 2008 Olympic Games, IFA (International Fireworks Association), one of FireworksTown's cooperation partners, had consulted the Ministry of Communication of the People's Repubic of China and State Administration of Work Safety and was told that there is still no official decision about forbidding fireworks tranaportation and production during Beijing 2008 Olympics Games had been constituted by these departments.

But it can't exclude the possibility that local government will take steps (Forbid transporting and manufacturing fireworks) in order to guarantee the absolute safety during the Olympic games . So everything is undefined till now.

I've had warning from one of the shipping companies that everything needs to be out of China by June ..... I think I'l try to place orders early this year!

Put very bluntly- how will this effect consumer fireworks this year?

If supplies are limited, the natural economic effect is for the price to go up.

It might really hit some businesses, who are waiting for stocks that never arrive, most obviously seasonals.

Does this mean the goverment will be supplying bubble wrap to cover everyone during the olimpic games to make sure it all runs smoothly? So many stupid laws are going to come into place to turn the country into a nanny state during the games.

More bad news, the fireworks storehouses of Sanshui port were blasted on Feb. 14, 2008.
