Hi all, just wondering if anyone out there knows how to make a ground spinner. I've never seen them for sale in the UK (properly banned like everything else) so I would like to have a go at making my own. Any information on what kind of tubes to use, compositions or methods of construction would be much appreciated.
Thanks Doug

Essentially it's just a fountain or flare composition with a small hole near the top side of the tube and plugs on both ends. Everything comes out one side spinning the device around.

Just drew this up. Make sure when making them you angle the fuse hole and dont add it to the middle of the tube only at one end. Both the end plugs good be thicker. I can get more info later after I find the papers I have for them.

Yeah, the "cherry b**b design" works too. I always was kind of concerned it would go flipping off at some point.
A good composition for those "cherry b**b" spinners is Potassium Perchlorate, 60, Potassium Benzoate, 30, spherical or bright Aluminum, 300 mesh, 10. It creates a tall kind of "fierce" looking fountain effect on the ground. I stumbled upon this by accident wondering how coarse aluminum would do as a visual filler for small whistle based salutes. If they're launched into the air it looks super fantastic.
