Anyone come across a UK manufacturer for cardboard discs, endcaps etc. in quantity please? If they're available with one or more pre-punched holes all the better. The only one's I've found are from Rapid Electronics but they don't have any below 30mm or bigger than 60mm.

Most tube manufacturers will do it. Ask around.

Hey ,

it´s maybe a bit unconventional, but if you are (or anyone else is) looking for just a few discs , you should be able to find an Uk shop for
building bears. The discs you can buy there are rock hard and remind one of solid wood (you cant crush such a 10cm disc with just hands..) , but it´s just a very hard compressed cardboard about 3mm thick. One drawback have these tho..they all come with a hole in em about 3 -5mm in dia, ..but well, they call the discs pin joint discs. Did a quick google on it and found the site www.christiebears.co.uk

I have to say that im located in germany, and the discs go from 10mm to 140 mm in dia .

Hopefully someone is helped with this info .

Thanks for that - they look just the job. The holes aren't a problem, you have to put the fuse somewhere!

This probably wouldn't help for larger shells, but you might be able to find a 2.5" set for 3" shells. Button presses and dies will cut out disks pretty well. They sell these smaller punches in the US for use in scrapbooking mostly that are really handy. They are excellent for smaller inserts and caps for crossettes. They go big enough for 2" shells, but thats about it. It seems that you're more interested in them for shells though. Like has previously been discussed, many tube suppliers have the ability to cut disks, with center hole or not. It would be cheapest to get several people together and do a group by. The price to make a run may be the same for 1000 disks as it is for 10,000 disks.
