Provisionally on second saturday in june all ukps members ,friends and their families are invited to a barbecue bonfire and social event .There is room for caravans or tents if anyone wishes to arrive early or stay overnight. There will be short pyro related talks and demos ie tube rolling etc +food and soft drinks

I want this to be a superb social event and every time we run one it gets bigger than the time before!!

HELP WANTED all offers of help welcomed whether it be building bonfires ,cooking., laying out food , planning, organising, putting up gazebo,s etc

Are there any professionals out there willing to give a 5 min talk or a demo???

as previous visitors will be aware we have access to a large privately owned field a cat 3 area will be safely cordoned off . please post. pm, ring, text or e-mail me if youwould like to supply and or fire anything bigger, up to 350 m separation and a sand bag barrier wall is possible if have a display big enough!!

I'll do my best to be there. As before, I'll bring a selection of Cat 2 and Cat 3 fireworks.

I'll also bring some wine if people fancy it.

OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

99% sure I can be there...

Could do a talk/demo on how to make black match and stuff about fusing (as long as I'm not telling my grandmothers how to suck eggs...)

I'll be bringing a gazebo for the talk/demo's..As said, i'll be doing a talk/demo on tube rolling and 2 50mm bag-mines, one of which is a new concept (I think) I've come up with.

Maybe it would be a good idea to see how many want to give a talk. We don't to be talking about fireworks all day do we ( I don't mind ) .....We want to be shoting them B)

Well Im brave enough to camp overnight and help you setup in the morning, but I'm traveling with paul so it's upto him. I'm hoping to have my dam car back on the road by then, so we'll see.

OK. It looks like me and paul are camping out the night before. I.ve spoken to steve and we want to get the numbers up!!

Imagine- Pyro talks around the campfire, a few fireworks, what better way to spend an evening before the main event :D

Post Here if your up for it.

Is there interest in getting a formal and examined cat4 training session for an 8 hour slot on the day? Culminating in firing some shells. --All the dry and important bits like law, storage, competence, and preparation.

That sounds good- even if I'm not camping, I could join you in the evening, bring down a few little (Cat 2) fireworks (before 11pm). Nothing very spectacular, just some little stuff, mainly stuff for the fun of lighting something.

Not really my place to say Arthur, as it's Icarus's show, but given the nature of the event (you were at the last one) I don't personally think this would be the place for such training...

Well, not long to go now- well, 6 weeks or so, but you know what I mean!

Is anyone thinking of coming up the night before- IE the Friday evening?

I may Book the friday night off work and set up a tent, I'm looking forward to this. (first pyro meet)

Any idea how many will be attending?

Mike.

I think me and paul are coming down friday night and camping. Should be good, pyro talks round the campfire and a few fireworks.
I wouldn't worry Mike, the march meet was my first time,( ) where a friendly bunch of people :)

Judging on the last meet and the fact the weather should be better, it should be quite on event

It fantastic how this has blossommed so quickly- at the first one, on November 5th, there were 4 forum posters their plus families, the second on about 10 people plus family, friends etc- and I missed the third one, but there were more people than ever I understand! ^_^

If people are coving (coving? - coming/camping ) over on the Friday, that would suit me- I could turn up with some fireworks! yeay.
