Im intending to bring rockets ? ready to fire so we can just add stars and a little bp burst to the header

Yeah, thats what I thought you meant- ie prepare them during the day, fire at night!

Just ignore me if I'm missing the point!

No your not missing it just over estimating i think. I recon 20 seconds per entrant would be sufficient time to prepare their payload.

Not meaning to "beat the same drum" but it might be useful if people co-ordinate what they are bringing , to avoid people bringing too much stuff! Its going to be dark from around 9-30-10pm, and we must finish firing by 11pm .

As such, if 10 people (eg) are hoping to bring pyro to fire at night, thats , what, about 7 minutes each?

But yeah- it might be useful if people say what they re bringing in terms of how long it will take to set up and fire.

Me- I'm bring stuff for Friday- which will take about 15-20 minutes to set up and fire.

Could we clarify what's happening on the Saturday please?

Assuming we will fire 'normal' fireworks from about 9-30pm... Before that some 'daylight' pyro - has anyone prepared any? (I will have a kind of tribute to Mascaleta!)

Blues competition has to be in the dark presumably...

There was talk of a few presentations - is this still on? I offered to do one about making black-match and fusing -about 10 mins I guess. If we are doing this kind of thing it wll need to be semi-formal to really work. A table to dem from and somewhere for people to sit - something like the convention for those who went... Are we up for this? Anyone got something ready?

Would about 6-00pm be a good time to get there?

Opinions please, as I'm a bit confused!! (nothing new there then...)

I have some Cat 3 that looks pretty nice in daylight- fountains, flare effects etc, and some crackle rockets. If I get the chance to come on the Saturday I'll bring that.

Thats a good idea, yeah- anything pyro related will be well recieved.

Does this idea grab anyone- does anyone fancy doing a simultanious rocket launch? I can provide the rockets - some Cat 2 , some Cat 3, and the lauch tubes- if anyone likes the sound of this, lets team up!

Sounds like a great idea, I have plenty of tubes I could bring along, and possibly some small rockets.
You can never have a long enough fuse...

See you Friday 13th! I'll bring the pyro, of course, and some wine- just hope thats its a nice evening!

What time suits you for people to arrive?

I'm a bit confused here.

Are we still planning for the main event to be on Saturday 14th?

If so, doesn't it make more sense to camp on the Saturday night?

I think people can camp on the Saturday too, if they like. I think some people will be, or staying locally.
On a personal note, I've always felt it is nice to do things on a Friday night- a " start of the weekend" feel, so to speak.

I'm actually a little concerned about the idea of a 2 night pyro meet!

If there's an amount of pyro going off on Friday night the neighbours will probably have had enough by then and a second night of thumps and bangs will surely bring negative attention albeit a legal meet and pyro.

It certainly isnt going to make them happy is it?

I will add my vote to that as well.

It would be far better to have one good night of pyro and keep the neighbors happy, lets not put future events in jeopardy. It should be a far better social event if everyone is still fresh on the Saturday night. It could be a really good display if there is a little coordination.

Phew that was close.
