Or perhaps this is what fooling with them does so don't do it.
I suspect the "Nanny" types who want everything controlled and safe will always find an argument and something to restrict.

There is a tension between the propaganda value and the actual accident figures.
The dissemination of `fun' videos showing the dangerous misuse of fireworks may encourage more misuse and hence injury; whereas the portrayal of actual injuries may possibly reduce injury figures at the cost of bad publicity.

I've always been on the side of showing the consequences, how to be safe, then let people get on with it.

This is getting too serious for The Green Room, so here's the fun you can have with a grenade and a washing machine. :)
