An excellent day! Thank you to all who organised it and to those who participated!

Looking at Phils video there are some cracking shells but two stand out for me. One at 4.32 - 4.44 and the
other at 5.13 - 5.22. I'd love to know some details on them if the proud parent(s) would be so kind.

Update:- they are both slow gold, 6" and 8"

Yep thanks, was a great day the other week, both the turnout and quality of fireworks seems to be improving each time.

Here is a small mine I fired earlier:
Charcoal to blue mine
You can never have a long enough fuse...

Was that straight D1 or did you use other compositions to 'lift' the dross out??

Was it choked?

I have to say that I'm impressed that you got it to work so well. I've always used much faster mixes than D1 for glittering gerbs.

Yes it was only d1 composition with bentonite clay as choke ;)

iv not managed to video many big shells lighting them geting away and filming them not quite got it togither yeh :unsure: but heres a wee tiny shell i made to test my first d1 glitter stars i think there all right not to sure tho
