Living in the UK can be a real drag due to the long days of rain, so sometimes I spend time playing RPGs online. One of which is called Shaiya. I thought I'd tell you guys about it as it is free to download and free to play and if you're a nerd like me then you might enjoy it too XD

Heres a linkage to a video:

Watch Me

Hope to see some of you playing soon =D

Mmmm. I remember my years as a teenager during the 90's playing RPGs - daggerfall was one of those (so I hear the same creators have moved onto making more "stupid" rpgs for console player).

I used to play the Final Fantasy games on PS1 and PS2 but that's about as far as I went in any RPG.

I'm quite a fan of offline RPGs- Vampire the Masquarade, Ravenloft, stuff like that. I don't really play them much, but the books etc are actually really good reads- easy to pick up and "dip into" (unlike a novel) and with some really good ideas too.

The creativity that went into Games Workshops games, before they went wrong in the early 90s, is really deep.

Some of the world, universes etc created for these games are really in-depth, great stuff.

I also was a big fan of the Fighting Fantasy Books- Some really good and often very underated stories there.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

I got put off them after playing FF8 all through the first 3 discs, then finding a huge scratch in my 4th disc! By that time I'd already thrown the reciept away though...

I played FF VII through X, after that, other than X-2 maybe, they were online games, and I had no more interest.

I'm not sure if S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl counts as an RPG, it is an attempt at a hybrid between RPG and FPS. It allows free-ish movement within the zone, trading with others, wildlife and mutants, different factions etc.

Fantastic atmosphere and realistic landscape (much of the scenery and buildings are rendered from photographs) and the AI is pretty good.

Buggy as hell though, patches MUST be applied. The user forums are essential with many fixes and add-on features.

What about good ale fashion dungeons and dragons, rollin the dice to battle the baddies, having your dungeon master create the story as you go, using your imagination....?

Young folks these days!

HA! Just kidding, I spent a large amount of time over the winter playing Oblivion...too cold in the garage to may pyro stuff. ;)
Fireworks are paint brushes for the night sky...with a few bloody huge BOOMS thrown in for good measure!
