Sounds good! If the Pyro Society has a stall there or similar it would be a great way of getting more people interested in the society, a wider variety of people on the forums etc.

Should be a nice evening.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Regrettably as the 'pre-publicity' for this event billed it as 2nd August (at a different venue) and this is the date I kept free, I won't be able to be there, as I will be on holiday :(

You are probably thinking of this- Firework Champions which is basically the same event, but hosted on 2nd August at Stanford Hall. There are several such shows at various venues throughout the summer.

Yes, I was thinking of that event, as it was stated previously that was the one that we were going to attend... (mention of a Society VIP Marquee, possible free admission etc).

I can't be bothered digging out the relevent posts, but I'm sure they are there somewhere! - or it may have been the 'phone meeting' earlier this year.

Richard's article in Fireworks Magazine also mentions this date - I guess the copy went to press before the change of plan.

So, is anyone thinking of going to this? I might, I'll make the decision on the day I think, depends on a lot of things. I'll let you know if i am, but that said I'm sure someone will recognise me.

I'll be going to the Stanford Hall one on 2nd August, Combermere is a bit too far for me to make it practical. Should be good fun anyway!

I'll be there too. Got any plans to find eachother, or just swap mobile numbers and call everyone on the night?
