I'd start simple and try a formula like 90% Meal + 10% Fe/Ti

PGF is probably on the right track. The BP base may not leave a strong enough tail. I'd probably start with something like Chrysanthemum 6 or 8 to get a bit fuller effect. I'd say that FeTi is in there though. It makes that nice glittering effect. There are other options based upon glitter stars like crystal palace suggested, but it seems to be pretty fast. Perhaps some sort of gold flitter star could replicate it.

Thank you all for the info, I am going to start doing some tests and see if I can replicate this at all.

Looks to me to be some sort of a brocade mix, the classic one uses FeTi added to something like a willow mix (I'm sure it's listed somewhere on this forum), but I think the Chinese have moved away from this in recent years to a mixture that produces more reddish-gold sparks with less twinkle, maybe using aluminium and a sulphide? Presumably because of the cost of the FeTi, though IMHO the original was better.
Trying to do something very beautiful but very dangerous very safely....
