anyone from this forum delt with them at all by any chance ?

i paid to join their "club" or site in order to get the special prices they quote , paid my £20 via paypal on the 25th of last month and by the 29th of the same month i had got nothing in way of any kind of communication other than a PayPal receipt for the transaction , no passwords or username or welcome to our site etc , emailed them on the 29th of Sept to enquire why or if it had got lost somhow , got a reply on the 1st of Oct which said sorry about the delay could i give them my personal info such as name and address so they could send me out a membership pack i replied the same day with that info

its now the 6th of Oct and still nothing

if this is an example of the service i am to expect then i doubt i will be renewing my membership and may even see about a charge back

They are, or at least were, quite active on this site. Sizzle I believe was the man to talk to. However, he has recently posted saying he is getting out of the Pyro hobby.

Regarding their range , and the shop in general, they had a MASSIVE demo night last year, but they arn't doing one this year, instead they are doing a display after bonfire night.

It's an interesting range- last year they had loads of different pieces, many of which appeared genuinly unique to them.

On another note, I think you can claim the same discount from them if you are a Pyro Society member.
OK, interest in fireworks to be resumed in the spring. It usually is. ;)

Yes, it is a shame too that there was no reply on this site. Have you telephoned them?

I have a lot of dealing with SP fireworks as they helped me out a lot when I set up my own company 2yrs ago. I do know however that although it doesn't really help you too much they are currently working to ensure all their stock arrives on time and therefore are tied up an awful lot. The membership side is dealt with by the guys in the shop when they've got 5 min. I would stick with them because on the whole they're a good company and have some really good products.

i would have however im not prepared to wait over 2 weeks just to be given a password so i can get "special" prices , i spend well into a 4 figure sum each year on fireworks and if they havnt the time to issue me with the relevant information so i can place an order just how long do you have to wait for orders to arrive ? . ive run membership sites online and i also know how busy firework shops get around this time of year and 1 delay or mistake i could put up with but today i was told i havnt recieved my membershiop details as my reply email wasnt recieved by them , so my initional membership was overlooked and my reply email was mislaid, that isnt very professional in my opinion

i felt i had no option but to cancell my "membership" and will go back to my usual suppliers

I would like to make a personal apology to Antony for the delay you experienced when applying for membership with us. As a few people have mentioned above, this is the busiest period of the year for us, and with only two of us working in the company, taking care of over 40 retail shops that are all demanding their goods to be delivered in the next few days and trying to get stock in from China (not an easy task this year!) takes a lot of our time to organise. The main issue we had in processing your application is the new account system we have had installed, it seems firstly that we are not recieving all our e-mails, and secondly that we are recieving e-mails later than we should, for example, the e-mail you say you sent on the 29th September, we did not recieve until the 1st October to which I replied.

David is correct, if you are a UKPS member, you need not apply for our membership as all UKPS members are automatically entitled to a 30% discount from us.

Antony, I would like to offer you a free ticket to our display this year as an apology, if you want to accept this, then could you PM me an address to send it to.
